THECOUNTERTOPADVOCATE

Draft for review

Service Terms

For Chris to decide: This is a draft for your review and should be checked by a qualified attorney before launch.

What we do

The Countertop Advocate provides consulting and guidance to homeowners about the countertop buying process. We do not sell, fabricate, or install countertops. Customers hire and pay their chosen fabricator and other trades directly, and contract with them directly.

Services

For Chris to decide: Define the scope of Personal Countertop Guidance: how many consultations and warehouse visits are included, how long the service lasts, and response times.

No guarantees

Guidance is based on experience and general information. We do not guarantee savings, outcomes, or a flawless installation, and installation-day support is not a technical inspection. Technical approvals rest with the fabricator, manufacturer, or appropriate licensed professional. The homeowner approves all changes, additional charges, and final acceptance.

Preferred pricing and referrals

Customers may also qualify for preferred pricing through my fabricator connections. Pricing varies by project. Customers may choose any fabricator. Any referral compensation will be disclosed when applicable.

For Chris to decide: Confirm whether you receive referral compensation from any fabricator, and how you'll disclose it.

Appointments

For Chris to decide: Set rescheduling, late-arrival, no-show, and travel-area rules. Warehouse access and shopping appointments must be confirmed with each warehouse.
For Chris to decide: Add liability limits, governing law (Virginia), and dispute resolution terms.
